1. These terms

These Terms of Service govern use of the Twinly website and Android app. By using Twinly, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains our data practices and is available separately without signing in. Questions may be sent to the Twinly operator at support@twinly.cloud.

You must have legal capacity to agree to these terms or the authorization required by the law that applies to you. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer protections or other rights that cannot legally be waived.

2. Invitations and account security

Twinly currently requires an invitation. An invitation authorizes only the invited user; it does not authorize sharing account credentials or access to another person’s private information. Provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. The app owner may manage or revoke invitations to protect private access.

You may connect multiple Google Photos accounts that you own or are authorized to use. Each connection requires the account holder’s permission. Google sign-in and Google Photos permissions are separate features and do not give you access to someone else’s Twinly account.

3. What Twinly does—and does not do

Twinly groups potentially similar images and helps you organize unwanted copies. Similarity grouping and subject labels are automated suggestions, not a guarantee that images are identical, unimportant, or safe to remove. You remain responsible for reviewing actual photos and deciding which copies to keep.

Whole-gallery access depends on the installed Android app, device support, and your photo permissions. Browser access and the Google Photos Picker use photos you select. A Google connection does not authorize scanning every cloud photo, deleting Google cloud originals, or consolidating entire libraries between Google accounts.

Google Photos imports use resized previews. Preview sizes are not measurements of original cloud storage and are not proof that cloud space has been recovered. Twinly is not a backup, archive, or guaranteed recovery service.

4. Moving and deleting photos

Twinly does not automatically delete photos because a scan marks them as possible duplicates. Supported Android move and deletion operations require your selection and Android’s confirmation. Cancellation does not authorize an operation. Review the selected photos before approving.

Moving selected device photos into Pictures/Twinly Duplicates and its category/year/month folders changes their local organization; it is not deletion and does not remove a Google Photos cloud copy. Folder labels may be inaccurate, and missing or uncertain information uses fallback folders.

Device deletion and Google Photos deletion have different effects. Trash availability, recovery periods, backup behavior, and propagation to other devices depend on Android, your gallery provider, Google, and your settings. Twinly cannot guarantee a Trash period or recovery. Maintain independent backups of important photos and review your provider’s current rules before removing originals.

Restored scan metadata is not proof that a photo still exists or that Twinly may operate on it. A fresh device scan is required before Android actions on restored items.

5. Your content and permissions

You retain your rights to your photos and other content. You grant Twinly only the permissions reasonably needed to process content you authorize for the requested organization features, display previews, and save the disclosed scan metadata and choices. This does not transfer ownership of your photos or grant permission to sell them or use them for advertising.

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to use the photos and accounts you provide, including respecting other people’s privacy. Twinly’s treatment of Google-derived data is also constrained by the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use, and the Google Photos API policies described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Twinly to access another person’s account without permission, violate privacy or intellectual-property rights, distribute unlawful content, bypass invitation or security controls, exploit vulnerabilities, disrupt the service, or extract credentials or private information. Report security concerns to support@twinly.cloud rather than testing against other users’ information.

Use third-party services in accordance with their own terms. Twinly is independently operated and is not endorsed by Google. Google, Android, and their respective trademarks belong to their owners.

7. Availability and changes

Features may depend on network access, phone permissions, Android versions, Google API availability, and provider policies. Testing-mode Google connections may require tester approval and reconnection. Native app changes may require an updated installer; published website changes may be delivered through the existing Android app.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, including to comply with law, address security risks, or respond to provider restrictions. Where reasonably practicable, material changes will be communicated. No guarantee is made of uninterrupted availability, successful photo classification, or compatibility with every phone.

8. Ending use and requesting deletion

You can stop using Twinly and disconnect Google accounts at any time. Disconnecting removes the connection from Twinly but is not deletion of your Twinly account or revocation of Google’s own permission record. You can also remove Twinly’s access in your Google Account settings.

To request closure and deletion of your Twinly account and associated information, email support@twinly.cloud with “Delete my Twinly account” and your account email. We may verify identity and retain only information needed for lawful obligations or proportionate security purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy. Uninstalling the Android app alone does not delete cloud account information.

We may restrict access for revoked invitations, security threats, legal requirements, or material misuse. Access revocation is not automatic data deletion. Where permitted and appropriate, you may contact support to ask about a restriction.

9. Warranties and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, Twinly is provided as available without a promise that every result will be accurate, every duplicate will be found, or lost photos can be recovered. You should review suggested actions and maintain backups. This does not limit any warranty or remedy that applicable law requires.

To the extent legally permitted, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by service interruptions, third-party services, or actions you approve. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where non-excludable, personal injury where protected by law, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited. These terms do not impose a blanket waiver of your rights.

10. Changes, disputes, and contact

We may revise these terms by updating this page and its effective date. Material changes will be communicated through the app or account email as appropriate. If you do not accept revised terms, you may stop using Twinly and request account deletion. Any acceptance requirements imposed by applicable law still apply.

Please contact support@twinly.cloud first about a concern so we can try to resolve it. These terms do not require mandatory arbitration, waive class-action rights, or remove rights to use courts or regulators available under applicable law. Applicable law and jurisdiction are determined by the rules that legally apply to the parties, including mandatory protections where you live.
